Once you arrive at the Leh Airport, you will be greeted with a thick sheet of snow everywhere and spectacular views. Meet our tour representative who will help you with guided transfer to the pre-decided guest house/hotel. Rest of the day is at your leisure. Take sufficient rest and fluids to acclimatize yourself to the high altitude, lack of oxygen and the cold temperatures. Visit local markets of Leh, savor delicious food or enjoy shopping.
Return to the hotel/guest room for an overnight stay.

Leh: Leh is a myriad of top tourist attractions, scenic landscapes, amicable people and much more. Beautiful monasteries and a number of natural wonders make Leh nothing less than a paradise on the Earth.
Shanti Stupa: Epitomizing unity and peace, Shanti Stupa is an iconic monument in Leh. Perched atop a steep hilltop, the monument beguiles with breathtaking views of the surroundings.
Leh Palace: Alternatively known as Lhachen Palkhar, Leh Palace was built by King Sengge Namgyal in the 17th century. The historically rich structure is one of the tallest buildings of its times and offers superb sunset and sunrise views.
While returning, enjoy shopping in the local markets of Leh. An overnight stay is planned in the hotel/guesthouse.
The day starts with a bus ride to Chilling. Drive from Leh to Tilad Do is full of surprises and is not for the faint hearted. You will be crossing many hairpin bends, while enjoying the scenic views. Enjoy a halt en route at Nimu Village. From there, you will resume your voyage towards Tilad Do via Chilling.
Nimu Village: Nimu is a picturesque hamlet situated near the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar River. Amazing views of frozen Zanskar
meeting with Indus River leave spectators in a state of awe. Don’t forget to capture the scenic beauty in your camera.
Chilling: Chilling is a charming village nestled along the banks of river Indus. It serves as a base camp for Chadar Trek.
The end of the road of this village is the starting point of the awe-inspiring expedition. After de boarding the bus, you will step on the ice sheet for the very first time to reach your campsite.
Observe the frozen river carefully and start walking step by step slowly. Take care of the surface which could be icy, slippery, covered with hard snow or even the fresh snow. Enjoy the proud feeling of walking on the Chadar.
By the evening, the team will start pitching the tent. Enjoy an overnight stay in it.
A hot cup of tea in the morning will help you get out of your warm sleeping bags and get going for your Chadar Trek. Day 4 of the Chadar Trek includes trekking session of 12 km on the frozen river. Since walking on the Chadar is nothing less than a mystery, the locals will aid you with complete information of it. Somewhere the river will be completely frozen with hard ice having dust of snow over it, making the walk easier. Whereas, it could be slippery requiring lots of attention to walk.
The trek also involves walking on ankle-deep water or climbing above the hills, or simply strolling around the water. This will help you to get complete insights about walking on the Chadar. Savor hot bowlfuls of soupy noodles on midway to Gyalpo. The porter-cum-cook will prepare it for you so that you can adjust with the need of adequate fluid supply to your body.
Start trekking towards your destination. Once you cross Shingra Koma, you will see that porters have already setup tents for you at Gyalpo campsite. Call it a day after having your dinner.

The 5th day of the Chadar Trek begins with tea at 7:00 am and breakfast at 8:00 am. Get ready by 8:30 am to restart your trekking expedition. Today you will be proceeding towards the longest walk of around 14 km. It will be awesome to walk through the deep ravines of the Zanskar. Usually, there is no sunshine throughout the day because of the walls of the mountain on either sides of the river. On your way, marvel at the small waterfalls which are frozen due to climatic conditions.
After walking for a few more hours, you’ll witness a giant waterfall. But, this time it won’t be a frozen one. Try to unveil the mystery behind this. Festooned with fluttering prayer flags, the place is revered by the natives. The greenish moss growing beneath the water is the only greenery you will notice during the entire trek.
Resume your walk towards Tibb. At Tibb, you will notice a big cave with porters. Receive a warm welcome along with warm butter tea. Enjoy rest of the day at this campsite.
An overnight stay is planned in camps at Tibb.
Today, you will start walking to reach the most awaited waterfall besides reaching your destination at Naerak. Walk past the gorges and cliffs and admire the natural beauty. The feeling of reaching the Naerak waterfall is beyond description. Don’t forget to click pictures and tie a prayer flag for good health and good luck.
Naerak village – Nerak offers sunset views so splendid that you cannot afford to miss it. The village is sheer bliss for nature lovers.

Day 7 will mark your starting of the return trip. Proceed towards Tibb Cave from Naerak. Don’t be careless while trekking. The river can change form anytime.

Continue your journey towards Gyalpo. On your way back, you may spot the pug marks of animals such as ibex, foxes and snow leopards.
An overnight stay is arranged at Gyalpo.
Enjoy walking for the last day of your trekking tour. Start your journey from Gyalpo and reach Tilad Do. Bid adieu to Zanskar and the team. From here, you’ll be hitting the road to Leh.
Upon reaching Leh, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel/guesthouse and enjoy overnight stay.
Checkout from the hotel/guesthouse and get comfortably transferred to the airport to catch flight for your onward destination.
